The Carnitine Controversy–Helpful or Harmful?

Recently, two seemingly conflicting reports, by Stanley Hazen and James DiNicolantonio, have been
published about the amino acid carnitine. Differences in methodology in experimental design and
analysis are responsible for the mixed review and seemingly disparate findings. This brings to light the
greater need for clarity in reporting both research design and outcomes analysis.
